State certificate examinations

Description

The Centre for Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners “Polonicum” intends to organize a state certificate examination of Polish as a foreign language at B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels (in groups adapted to the needs of adults) on 17 October and 18 October 2020.

Registration of candidates by registration form: from 24 August 2020 (8.00 a.m., UTC+2) to 10 September 2020 or as long as there are vacant places in the list. (Please do not register before the given date. All applications sent before 24 August will be deleted). Every person admitted to the exam will receive an e-mail confirmation of admission with details of the exam no later than on the next working day after registration. If the applicant does not receive an e-mail confirmation of admission within three days after the registration, this means that he/she has not been admitted to the exam.

Place of the examination: Written exam: Faculty of Modern Languages, University of Warsaw, 55 Dobra Street, Warsaw (main hall) (in Polish: budynek Wydziału Neofilologii, Uniwersytet Warszawski, ul. Dobra 55, główny hol). The exam starts at 10.00 a.m. Please arrive at the place at 9.30 a.m. Oral exam: 18 October 2020, Centre “Polonicum”, University of Warsaw, 32 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street (in Polish: Centrum „Polonicum ”, Uniwersytet Warszawski, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 32). All participants will receive detailed information about the oral exam during the written exam on 17 October 2020.

 

Who can take the exam? Foreigners or Polish citizens permanently residing abroad who are at least 18 years old on the day of the examination.

 

Passport is the only document entitling the examinee to participate in the examination.

Deadline for payment of the exam fee: Persons who have received an e-mail confirmation of their registration for the examination should pay the fee within 3 days after the date of receiving the confirmation of admission to the examination. Persons who register after 4 September 2020 must make an immediate payment.

* The entire payment (exam fee and certificate) should be made in one single transfer in PLN (Polish zloty); as the title of the transfer please provide only the first name and surname of the participant and the level of the exam. Example: John Smith, B1.

 

EUR to PLN exchange rate shall be the average EUR to PLN exchange rate of the National Bank of Poland as of 31 July 2020.

Terms and conditions of the state certificate examination of Polish as a foreign language for persons with special needs

 

Procedure for persons with special needs 19.08.2017

 

The State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language has announced the schedule of examination sessions in 2020.

Examinations in Polish as a foreign language are held on the following dates and levels:

7-8 March 2020: levels B1, B2 and C1 in groups adapted to the needs of adults and B2 in groups adapted to the needs of children and teenagers;

6-7 June 2020: levels B1, B2 and C1 in groups adapted to the needs of adults and B1 and B2 in groups adapted to the needs of children and teenagers;

17-18 October 2020: levels A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 in groups adapted to the needs of adults.

 

Application form

We are very happy to announce that the Faculty of Polish Studies received the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s eligibility to conducting the State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a foreign language. The Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners POLONICUM will soon organize state examinations.
