Biography
Anna Rabczuk, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Polonicum Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners, University of Warsaw, Head of the Postgraduate Programme in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language, expert of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and the Institute for the Development of the Polish Language. Her work focuses on Polish as a foreign and heritage language education, intercultural competence, innovative teaching methods and teacher training worldwide.
Academic Profile
Anna Rabczuk, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Polonicum Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners at the University of Warsaw, where she serves as Head of the Postgraduate Programme in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language. She holds two Master’s degrees — in Cultural Studies and in Polish Philology — and completed her PhD in Linguistics. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations from the Warsaw School of Economics.
Her academic and professional work focuses on teaching Polish as a foreign and heritage language, intercultural competence development, multimodal and innovative approaches in language education, and the integration of language and culture in the learning process. She is the author and co-author of numerous scholarly publications in the field of Polish glottodidactics and intercultural communication, as well as textbooks and teaching materials for children, adolescents and adult learners in diverse educational contexts.
Anna Rabczuk has been the principal investigator and project leader of competitive national grants funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), including the Polish with Ania series of educational video projects. Within these projects she created a comprehensive set of educational video materials for learning Polish as a foreign language, which later developed into the internationally recognised educational YouTube channel “Polish with Ania”, dedicated to teaching Polish grammar. The channel is widely used by students and teachers around the world as a supplementary learning and teaching resource.
She is also the author and leader of multiple teaching innovation projects at the University of Warsaw, including online placement tests, e-learning courses and digital educational resources supporting language learning and assessment.
Anna Rabczuk is an expert of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and an expert collaborator of the Institute for the Development of the Polish Language, where she co-created the national Framework Programmes for Polish Diaspora Language and Culture Education. In this role, she has been actively involved in training, mentoring and supporting teachers of Polish worldwide, working with educators from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia.
Her international experience includes long-term and project-based cooperation with universities and academic institutions in Germany (Potsdam, Mainz), Ukraine (Lviv), France (Paris, Poitiers), Italy (Bologna), Spain (Extremadura), Austria (Vienna), Iceland (Reykjavík), the United Kingdom (Glasgow, London), Canada (Toronto), China (Guangzhou, Shanghai) and Russia (Saint Petersburg). She has participated in international projects, academic exchanges and teacher training programmes, and has served as an external academic consultant in European educational initiatives.

Polish with Ania – Educational YouTube Channel
Polish with Ania is an educational YouTube channel dedicated to teaching Polish as a foreign language, created and run by Dr Anna Rabczuk, Assistant Professor at the University of Warsaw (Polonicum – Centre for Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners).
The channel focuses on explaining key areas of Polish grammar in a clear, accessible and culturally informed way, supporting learners at different proficiency levels. The videos combine linguistic accuracy with practical examples and intercultural context, helping learners better understand both the structure of the language and its use in real communication.
Polish with Ania is used by individual learners as well as teachers of Polish as a foreign and heritage language as supplementary material in the classroom.
